SYNTHSIGNAL / YOUR TRUST
Sources & coverage
Know where a number or story comes from, and what it can tell you.
Market data and company reports
The market data page displays Alternative.me’s Bitcoin Fear & Greed Index, Statistics Canada CPI and unemployment, US BLS CPI-U and unemployment, and ECB deposit and euro reference exchange rates. Dates and units stay with each observation. SynthSignal calculates year-over-year inflation from the same CPI series twelve months apart and labels that calculation. These indicators are separate from prices and alerts.
Alternative.me permits commercial display with adjacent attribution. Canadian data follows the Statistics Canada Open Licence, with its required source notices. BLS data is used under its public-domain policy. ECB figures follow its reuse conditions. We do not reuse protected logos or third-party illustrations.
US stock pages offer SEC EDGAR financial figures and recent filings on request, using the official APIs and SEC dissemination policy. Figures use supported USD US-GAAP tags, with quarterly, annual and balance-sheet periods displayed separately. Coverage is incomplete for some companies, especially foreign issuers; funds, indices and Canadian listings are excluded. Open the original filing for full context. Source checks are cached across visitors: about hourly for sentiment and six-hourly for economic data and company reports when requested. Failed updates retain labeled saved data for up to seven days.
Market Intel
The Market Intel page combines limited, attributed observations with SynthSignal explanations. Ethereum proposal documents follow CC0; their status follows EIP-1. A changed or Final proposal is not automatically an activated network upgrade. Selected GitHub Advisory Database notices use CC BY 4.0, retaining links, affected versions and separate publication/update dates.
USAspending provides public Treasury award records. We show a small sample of contracts with recent activity and reported amounts of at least $10 million. A modification date is not a new contract announcement, and an award amount is not company revenue. CFTC Traders in Financial Futures, futures only provides Leveraged Funds positions for three reviewed contract codes. SynthSignal calculates longs minus shorts and the change against the observation exactly seven days earlier; these are aggregate categories, not individual investor portfolios.
A single Ethereum WETH/USDC pool snapshot uses the DEX Screener API under its commercial-use terms. Selection uses reviewed token contract addresses and the highest reported liquidity among matching Uniswap pools returned by the API, with a direct source link. This limited news-context feature does not rank promoted tokens or provide a trading screener or bulk API.
The original DeFi data brief uses DefiLlama’s free historical TVL endpoint under its press-use policy. Figures are attributed next to the brief; any seven-day percentage is calculated by SynthSignal. growthepie is linked for Ethereum and Layer 2 research. Its data terms allow attributed reuse but request contact before commercial reliance on the API; automatic imports are not enabled.
Shared checks run through the existing news job or a visit to Market Intel: DEX every two hours, EIPs, security, CFTC and DeFi every six hours, and contracts every twelve hours. A successful check is not a new publication. Failed checks retain labeled saved snapshots for up to seven days. No paid endpoints, provider keys, new notifications or price-alert inputs are added by these connections.
CFTC and company filings
The CFTC press-release feed adds regulatory announcements, including digital-asset developments. Government-authored material follows the CFTC public-domain policy; third-party media and protected marks are excluded.
SEC EDGAR feeds add recent Form 8-K, 10-Q and 10-K filings and amendments to our news list. These entries are labeled Company filing, with SynthSignal summaries describing the filing type and a direct link to the original. A filing is not an SEC endorsement or a confirmed market-moving event. Times reflect EDGAR feed updates. This is a limited sample of recent filings, not exhaustive company coverage. Checks use the existing two-hour news schedule and shared caching, following SEC fair-access guidance.
Additional economic and news sources
EIA Today in Energy and Bureau of Economic Analysis releases contribute dated headlines, permitted feed excerpts and original links. Their own materials follow the EIA reuse policy and BEA public-domain policy; third-party photos, graphics and logos are excluded. Original SynthSignal charts identify the underlying agency, observation period and estimates.
Our EU unemployment panel uses Eurostat’s seasonally adjusted monthly EU-27 series, with source qualifications preserved, under its reuse notice. World Bank annual real GDP growth for the US, Canada and world follows the indicator’s CC BY 4.0 metadata. The original sources are World Bank national accounts data and OECD National Accounts data files. Annual GDP history is not a current market quote. Eurostat checks are shared six-hourly; World Bank checks daily.
GDELT provides discovery metadata and external reading links, checked at most hourly. Its indexing timestamp is not the publisher’s publication time. We do not copy publisher articles or images, imply publisher reuse permission, or archive those articles. Rate limits and source outages are labeled.
Market briefings connect these sources with original reading frameworks. 20 company profiles link to issuer materials and SEC filings.
Original guides and crypto profiles
Our 100 crypto profiles explain what selected catalog assets represent, with project-specific checks, sources and research dates. Our market guides provide educational reading methods and illustrative examples. About SynthSignal identifies the publisher; the editorial method explains source selection, AI assistance and corrections.
Crypto charts and market screening
Our directory combines a curated foundation of 653 cryptocurrencies with entries from the connected provider. Optional TradingView widgets provide a crypto-pair screener, a market spotlight, and charts for assets with a reviewed exchange-specific symbol match. Each widget retains TradingView’s attribution. Check the exchange, quote currency, date range and data status in the widget. Not every catalog asset has a chart match.
CoinPaprika supplies the direct crypto quotes, historical charts and rolling 24-hour mover shortcuts. Kraken collection remains paused. Embedded TradingView charts are separate from these aggregated prices and do not supply data to SynthSignal’s alert engine. Price targets, percentage-change alerts and daily updates use fresh provider quotes. High–low range alerts are not enabled.
Crypto data by CoinPaprika
Data by CoinPaprika. Our Starter connection covers up to 2,000 ranked assets plus matched entries from our curated catalog, in USD, CAD and EUR. Current prices, market cap, volume and rolling percentage changes refresh through one shared cache about every three minutes. Live Coin Watch is a previous connection and does not supply current quotes while CoinPaprika is active. Each quote shows its provider timestamp; delayed quotes are labeled and excluded from mover rankings.
Historical charts use USD, with 5-minute observations for 24 hours, hourly observations for seven days, 6-hour observations for 30 days and daily observations for one year. Coverage varies by asset. Chart data is temporarily cached for display; SynthSignal does not provide a bulk historical dataset. Favorites retain reviewed asset identities. Price alerts are enabled, with optional device notifications. Keep the site open and visible while the monitoring status reports background checks as delayed or unconfirmed.
Additional news connections
Marketaux and The News API are configured and awaiting confirmed publisher rights before their stories appear. The free-plan connection is limited to 12 requests per day per provider. Only approved headlines, links and permitted excerpts will appear; full articles and images are excluded.
Stocks, indices and ETFs
Our directory contains 608 instruments, including US and Canadian companies, selected ETFs and benchmark indices. Listings show their exchange and native quote currency. TradingView supplies embedded charts and the stock-movers display with its own attribution and data-status labels. Some index series are daily closes and some stock quotes are delayed. The widget is not a data feed for our alert engine.
Catalog references
Asset identities are reviewed against the Kraken supported-assets directory and TradingView’s US and Canadian company listings. Numbered ranks in the live catalog come from the connected provider. Inclusion is not an investment recommendation or confirmation that every chart is available.
Market headlines by TradingView
TradingView widgets show general market headlines and coin-specific news where a reviewed symbol match is available. Open stories through the widget for their original source. Coverage varies by asset. Coin pages also show recent matching stories from our permitted news feeds, with publisher links and publication times. Headlines inside TradingView widgets are not imported into our database, matched to favorites, converted into Synth Cards or used to send alerts. Their availability and publisher selection are controlled by TradingView. Our own permitted-feed stories are stored and handled separately.
Economic calendar
An optional TradingView calendar shows scheduled economic releases, with filters supplied by TradingView. Calendar data remains inside the official widget and is not copied into our feeds or alert engine.
Official-source intelligence
Articles identify their publisher, original link and publication time. Official releases include the Federal Reserve (press releases, speeches and testimony), SEC, European Central Bank, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Bank of Canada and Statistics Canada. The Fed permits reuse of its own public-domain information with attribution, excluding third-party material and protected seals or logos (Fed reuse policy). Our feed importer collects text and links. Separately reviewed file photos are credited below; protected seals are not used as branding. Official-source labels do not imply endorsement. SynthSignal’s context text is separate from the report. Similar headlines may be grouped for easier reading; grouping does not independently confirm a claim.
Crypto project updates
Bitcoin Core provides first-party software-release and security announcements through its official feeds. We collect dated headlines, links and short text excerpts under the website repository’s reuse policy, preserving its MIT license and copyright notice. Images and full articles are not imported. These updates are labeled “Project update” and may be infrequent; an absence of recent announcements is not a feed error. They are not independent market reporting.
For additional first-party crypto reading, visit the Ethereum Foundation blog. For crypto-policy commentary and advocacy, visit Coin Center. These are external reading links; their articles and photographs are not copied into SynthSignal’s feed.
News photography
Selected headlines use real file photos matched to the subject or reporting institution. These older photos provide context; they do not show the event described in the headline. Where no reviewed photo fits, SynthSignal uses its existing topic artwork. Publisher article photos are used only with separate, confirmed permission.

News archive
The news archive preserves permitted official-source headlines, short feed excerpts and SynthSignal context after they leave the recent feed. Reports retain their original publication dates and source links. The archive grows from reports collected by SynthSignal; it is not a complete historical record. Old reports may contain figures that have since been revised. Third-party widget headlines and publishers with temporary-cache-only permissions are not archived.
Canadian coverage
Bank of Canada press releases and speeches are reproduced with linked attribution under its reuse terms. Statistics Canada’s economy, prices, jobs, international trade and energy feeds use the Statistics Canada Open Licence. Only official feed text and links are imported. Excerpts may be shortened; logos, photographs and third-party material are excluded. Added context is SynthSignal’s own and does not imply endorsement. The Source mix order alternates publishers, while Newest first preserves publication order.
Social radar and community picks
Selected X posts are collected through the configured X API and displayed using official embeds, including any images or video X makes available. The selected post loads automatically. If X removes a post or refuses the embed, we do not display a cached text copy. The news radar and Trump / Carney tab share one collection, capped at 10 posts per collection, at least two hours apart, subject to the X API spending limit. The political tab filters by the official author handles @realDonaldTrump and @MarkJCarney; it does not include posts that merely mention them. This limited sample may contain no posts from either account. X mention alerts remain paused during final testing. Reddit, Facebook and Instagram picks remain reviewed links with our own introductions. Optional provider embeds load only when selected. Posts may change or become unavailable.
Investors and market experts on X
The Investors & experts filter matches the author’s account, not posts mentioning their name. These accounts rotate through three groups in the existing shared collection, with political accounts included in each group and media accounts spread across the groups; adding them does not increase collection frequency or the request cap. Only one group is searched per collection, and each result replaces the previous sample. A collection may not include every voice. Their posts are commentary and may include opinions, forecasts or personal positions.
