Your privacy

What we use, why we use it, and the choices you have. Updated September 18, 2026.

Beta availability: market data and additional publisher feeds are paused pending approval. X collection and automatic alert delivery are paused. Existing rules, subscriptions and saved cards remain stored; paused publisher snapshots are withheld from display and downloads. You can request access or deletion through the contact form.

Who to contact

SynthSignal is an independent project based in Canada. Mayfly, the founder, handles privacy questions and requests. Use our privacy contact form; your message is visible only to you when signed in and to the founder.

Information used to run your Synth

• ChatGPT sign-in provides an account identifier, email address and, when available, your name. We use these to identify your account, display your profile and restrict founder tools. We do not receive your ChatGPT password or conversations.
• We store your favorites, saved Synth Cards, alert rules, monitoring state and inbox activity to provide those features across devices.
• If you enable device notifications, we store your browser’s push subscription, encryption keys and delivery records to send alerts. Notification content may appear on your lock screen.
• Suggested links and your private notes are stored for review. Approved picks publish a link and the founder’s introduction; your account identity and private submission note are not published.
• Contact requests store the reply email and message you submit, a reference, status and timestamps, and your account identifier if signed in. Please do not include passwords, payment details or API keys.

Your browser and outside services

Currency, preview news preferences, the stock-mover auto-load choice, the getting-started tip dismissal and any device-only saved cards use browser storage. Sign-in relies on the hosting service’s session controls. Our hosting and security providers may process technical request information such as IP address, browser information and logs.

Hosting and sign-in are provided through OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Push delivery uses your browser’s notification service. These services may process information outside your province or country.

TradingView charts and optional X, Facebook or Instagram embeds contact their provider when you choose to load them. Stock-mover widgets remember your load choice on this device and reconnect automatically on later visits. You can turn off auto-load in the stock movers panel. Each X post needs its own load choice; the site does not automatically load X posts or profile images. After you load one, X’s script remains active until you leave the page. The provider receives connection information and may use its own cookies. External source links, X, Reddit and PayPal open their own services and follow their privacy policies. PayPal processes donations; the founder may receive transaction information from PayPal, but this website does not collect your card details.

SynthSignal currently has no advertising or analytics tracking code of its own and does not sell your personal information. We will update this notice and the relevant choices before introducing a different use.

Retention and your choices

Favorites, cards and rules remain until you remove them or a deletion request is completed. Notifications, delivery records and temporary market caches are periodically limited or cleared by the application. Suggestions and support requests are kept while needed for review, follow-up and handling rights requests; the founder handles removal requests. Hosting logs and backups follow the provider’s retention processes and are not immediately erased by changing your saved items.

You can edit or remove saved items from your profile, disable device notifications in your browser settings, and clear this site’s browser storage. Clearing browser storage does not remove account data.

Download your saved data or request deletion. You can also request access, correction or an explanation of how your information is handled through the privacy form. We may need to verify that the information belongs to you. A request confirmation means we received it; it does not mean deletion is complete. Deleting SynthSignal data does not delete your ChatGPT account or copies already shared outside the site.
